Definition
An association governing a community that may include a mix of property types — often broader than a standard HOA, sometimes covering commercial parcels too.
A property owners association (POA) governs a community of property owners that may be broader or more varied than a typical residential HOA. A POA can encompass single-family homes, vacant lots, and sometimes commercial or mixed-use parcels within the same development.
Functionally, a POA operates much like an HOA — with governing documents, a board, dues, and shared-area maintenance — but its membership and scope can be wider. Vlge supports HOAs, COAs, and POAs alike.
